I'd love to blame that lot, but it is societal. I seenit all the time whilst driving. Not sure if it was covid and fatalism attached to it, or covid and the erosion of civil liberties attached to it, or dedund the police, or about 100 other things, but there does seem to be an air of lawlessness about just now, beyond the football pitch.Probably seen the kopite lot getting away with behaving like animals so thought ‘what the hell’
Agree with this though I think it is only a matter of time before bad things happen, not because of hardness, but because of weak people trying to act harder than they are.Not even close to the 70's /early 80s thank god cos I'm way to old to fight my way out of much these days.
Yep!Hahaha…they’re not tattoos they are those transfer thingies…….
Couldn't take any of this generation's hoolies serious after all those mock ups of the those young hammers lads with the pizza box etc
I pine for an old kipper thread 'FAO old hoolies', the tales in there...
I remember when i was teenager going away games with my dad in the mid 80s, it was like the away support was one massive mob + me and my dad, we used to go on the coaches, Amberline I think, but he wouldnt use the trains. The ony time we ever went on a train was to Wigan for that pre season game when we signed Lineker and we ended up hiding in a cake shop by the station as it was kicking off outside, and that was a pre season game! The late 70`s and the 80`s was a different level, the difference being, there was no social media or camera phones, so most of it went under the radar.
It was only the really big kick offs or when someone got properly hurt, that it got reported on.
Even as a kid, you weren`t safe at some grounds.
Every away game you went to, you always saw at least one kick off and that`s if you were with the escort.
The whole terrace culture, was built around clothes, music and having a ruck.
