If he's fit he's of a calibre where he could very conceivably take the right back shirt off Coleman and that's a good thing for the squad.

The injuries are my big concern but the loan to buy makes sense and is the right deal for us imo.

I think someone posted before mate that he played 32 games last season, 25 the season before and 30 odd again the season before that so doesnt look like his injury record is too bad

....Digne joined and waited for his opportunity but grasped it when he got his chance, although I suspect it was inevitable he’d replace Baines. I’m sure this lad will keep his place if he impresses, that’s what competition is about.

Yeh, he hasn't been great since the World Cup and even before that, I can't remember if he got an injury or if it was because he didn't get a big move like the rest of that team's key players.

But in terms of a quality back-up RB he's definitely good enough. Still a regular in the France squad and has plenty of experience without being too old. On loan, it's sensible.
