I reckon we win more than we lose with Walcott in the side. Maybe more having his type of player in the side than him per se.
Opposition managers always account for him. Whenever he goes off the opposition seems to get more men forward and see more of the ball. Worrying as he is subbed off every game....

Bernard set up 1 quality chance. Walcott set up 2. If you remove the finishing from the equation, as the passer is not responsible for that part, Walcott was the better creator tonight. To me they are different style players who are both not good enough, but because one is a free transfer, Brazilian and smiles a lot he gets a pass while the other gets blasted.

I disagree, Sidibe has done well, Walcott lets us down too often.
No I agree, he doesn’t have enough end product. He’s far better than some give him credit for though to be fair. He’s become a bit of a scapegoat when he’s rarely worse than the majority.

Of the 4 creative players in our team tonight (the fullbacks and the wingers) he let us down at worst the 3rd most. Maybe even the least. But no one is calling out anyone but him.

I wasn't calling him out for tonight but going forward, right wing is clearly an area for improvement. The others have all done better than him during the season, although it's strange to judge a fullback by the same standards as a winger.

The two things we need the most are central midfield and creative players. Even Bernard is not going to end up being good enough unless he takes a step forward in consistency and end product so clearly Walcott is on the chopping block too.
And I'm not so much comparing them as saying that both positions are being asked to produce from out wide at times. Sidibe and Digne producing less would be understandable but taking it all into account, I think Walcott was better tonight.
