2019/20 Djibril Sidibe

Even more of a no-brainer then! Even the useless get Davies would sell for close to that. I don't care that they are local lads, Kenny and Davies will never be good enough, so use their sales to buy Sids. Two out, one in. Needs to be the pattern of our summer transfers.

I’d rather sell Sigurdsson to fund it tbh.

I was highly critical of him initially and I haven’t changed my opinion just yet but he is growing on me.

I’m not 100% convinced just yet but I do like his personality and I’d love him to prove me wrong.

And people want to replace him with some swingy jawed kid whos doing ok in DAS SPL.

Got to be honest, I don't understand any of our fans who don't want Sidibe. It's a bargain fee in this day and age, can get it done quickly, don't need to bed him in and right back, let's be honest is hardly a position you need to splash big bucks on, so saving money in that position helps us in others. Also gives us the option to sell either Kenny or Coleman for a decent fee and use the other as backup.

How about we keep Kenny & Sidibe so we have actual depth, and sell Coleman who at this stage offers little to nothing

I think I'd be happy with this outcome, although I think there's a chance we will cash in on Kenny as he seems to have performed well for Schalke.

Coleman is done now unfortunately. Lost that bit of pace. He was never a very good crosser of the ball at the best of times, but now he is always under pressure because he can't beat his man and they've got even worse. Moyes will probably sign him.

I like him, would buy if wages are reasonable. My only real issue is better when crossing under pressure. If given time and space he slows play down in the final 3rd by taking to many touches.

I understand it, we can possibly do better, people would rather roll the dice. Defensively hes a bit wishy washy, but he can swing in a mean cross and hes got pace to burn, he can also pass a ball, for me its a no brainer. But yeah, we could MAYBE do better, I mean its not like we spent 20 years searching for a RB till Coleman came along, picking up top class RBs is easy.

Me personally for 12m I would snap him up and put a tick next to the RB spot till at least 2021.

The people who would rather have JJK I dont understand tho, if people were watching him every week and he was 9/10 I would totally understand it, but nobody watches him and he gets better every week, despite him rating as something like the 120th best RB in Europe.

Think his crossing has become one of the highlights of watching the team atm.

Just his positioning letting him down for me as he’s got some pace and looks a decent tackler. I do wonder if playing Richarlison over Walcott at RW would potentially shore up that side defensively.

Kenny isn't ever going to be good enough doesn't have the athelicism to be a top RB unless he has massively improved his technical ability I can't see him having a future here. Sidibe is defensively suspect and can be a bit awkward positioning wise however his speed and strength is far above Kenny's add his passing ability and crossing until he slows down hes simply the better option

At present Sidibe is the best right back at club, although his more of a wingback, also Coleman despite being loyal servant etc , since injury is finished so for ffp and agewise and wages, his the best to replace as no point paying 70,000 a week for a back up ;-( Get Sidibe in for the 10 or 12 million! Kenny as back up after good year at loan in Germany and sell Coleman since anything over 60,000 grand is great financial sense ;-) Everton needs to be run like a business, we are not a charity ,-) If Meunier is possible, sign him up and then get rid of Coleman and don't sign Sidibe unless the Schalke offer is great but they are claiming they've money issues to buy Kenny! Coleman is the weakest of the 3 we currently have financially so get rid and start next season with either Sidibe/Kenny or Meunier/1 of Sidibe/Kenny

For the supposed £12m we have in our loan agreement, id buy him. Bring back JJK and have them two fighting it out for the RB spot. Coleman is finished.

same with every player on loan, people thought vlasic would come in this summer and displace siggy and that lookman all of a sudden became prolific despite his 1 goal in 4 years for us, because he scored a few v average defenders in germany.

The way i see it, in the summer, we're basically going to need:
a GK, a RB, 2xCB's, 1xLB, 1xCM (being generous), 1xWinger and 1xStriker

seeing as Stek won't get a new contract, Lossl will almost certainly be sold now; we don't view either Coleman and Kenny as good enough; we only have 3 CB's; Baines probably won't get a new contract; we obviously need and want another centre mid; loads of links to a new winger; and we need a more experienced striker to play with the 2 or 3 "kids" whilst Tosun will surely be offloaded and we now lay 2 up top.

That's a lot of work to do, as well as the 10 or so players we know we'll try and get rid of, so why mess around and try and haggle for a better Right Back, in my view.
