cos mines blue and they only want the red shoite.

in nz we were banned because of mad cow, it was ok for our daughter though cos at that point she hadnt been to the uk...........bizarre, i'm no expert on genetics but surely hers is a mix of ours.

Its true, you cant give blood in Aus if your british.

We dont want to pollute our suplies!

I used to give blood until I started taking lots of drugs!

Hahaha no just kidding WOEFJHAEWKRFLIGHTBULB!!!!!

woah...flashback

I've given blood in England and went to give blood a few years ago here in Spain. Everything fine till later that evening when I had a couple of beers. Went completely white and chucked my guts everywhere. Felt like a bag of [Poor language removed] for about an hour. Friend said my blood pressure had probably plummeted with the alcohol (silly me). Wife won't let me donate any more. Scared her to see me that way.

i've given blood twice in the United States this year, when we had two blood drives at my high school. I mainly did it to get out of class for a bit, but it was a nice way to "give back" without actually having to do anything. The second time i donated, i made the stupid mistake of going to football, i couldn't control a ball worth [Poor language removed] the whole time and I got pretty crucially dehydrated.

if you haven't donated and are eligible i'd really recommend it, the pain is momentary and no worse than watching a red [Poor language removed] goal. it is pretty satisfying when you receive the card in the mail saying that they used your blood and you helped save a life too.

No, because i suffer from Thyroid problems, and besides, the custard cream and weak orange juice / tea makes me want to vomit.

I have done a good few times. But hav'nt been for a while, since the baby was born (no spare time) bad excuse hey! should get my arse into gear an go again.

I am actually not allowed to for the reasons Reidy mentioned. If you have lived in the UK for more than 6 months since 1985 then you are not eligible here. As I had a tad bit longer than 6 months over there, I am out.

at the end of the day there's mad cow in EVERY country (with cows)it's just we owned up to it, what the real reason is, is that our blood is too rich for these poncey foreign types.
we are also banned from trying shoes on abroad and testing toothbrushes, 'cos of foot and mouth.

I used to when the blood mobile used to come to where I work. However now if I do I have to drive 10miles to the site, which is only open on like Tues and Thurs and have to make a appt for the morning and I work nights. So I haven't in a long time.

I used to but havent been able to for the past year or so due to being tattooed or pierced in the previous 6 months.
