Do you think the bigger clubs benefit from no replays?

Aside from FA Cup replays being scrapped, and 5 subs... The second round of the league cup for the old first division teams used to be 2 legged - scrapped.
Since mid 90s, clubs qualifying for Europe got a bye past the early rounds of the league cup. This year the bigger clubs got byes, and were seeded so they could not face each other. One only has to look at the number of different teams to win the League, FA Cup or league cup prior to formation of the PL, compared with since.

And all that is before we get onto the CL and Waffa comps, have a look at the teams that qualified prior to PL, and since. It's pretty much the same pattern.
It's not meant to be equally competitive anymore. Unfortunately because the owners of the PL clubs are mainly in it for the cash, they they will not change something that makes them a fortune each year by finishing 10th and whilst so many telly fans are happy to pay a subscription to watch a team from hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away, and the advertising revenue keeps rolling in, then it probably won't change anytime soon...

It's why the Premier League was formed and is symptomatic of the modern world. When I was growing up Trade Unions were strong and collective bargaining stopped unscrupulous employers from taking advantage of workers. The football league distributed money throughout the divisions ensuring 92 clubs got their fair share and with good management you could work your way up through the divisions. Then Rupert Murdoch came along and greedy clubs like us broke away and everything that has happened since, whether in football or life in general (life in general changed first in the eighties).is designed to help individuals and not the collective.
Like most systems in modern life once capitalism takes a grip it becomes squid games, where the 1% succeed and the rest die, we all willingly play along being told to watch out for those below us

I think it’s slightly more complex than is being presented. A lot of clubs - not just the very biggest ones - don’t want replays for the majority of possible ties. They might want one if they’re facing a massive club and could get a bumper crowd, but realistically that’s maybe about 5% of ties, games like Sheffield united v Cardiff, Coventry v Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland v stoke etc nobody really wants a replay there.

Tamworth have lost out on a load of money but why should they be the only ones who benefit from the luck of the draw. The issue is that the funding the clubs receive overall isn’t fair, not really that one club from that level every 2 or 3 years misses out on effectively winning raffle.
The point isn't that earning a replay should be the only way of some form of financial equality in a moment, it's that it is one of the few left and it's been removed while no others exist

No I get that, but my point is that focusing on it's removal kind of misses the point, because not enough thought it is given to the issues in a wider context. As I said, it's easy to frame the whole thing as 'the top 6 don't want replays and they've ruined it for everyone' but that's not really the case. Most teams don't want replays, the only exception is when it's a minnow against a big side and that is a really tiny percentage of games. Getting rid of replays makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways, but more thought needs to be put in to how lower league clubs can be supported. It'll never be financial equality (and nor should it be) but the disparity at the moment is too much.

Yep very fair point, it's absolutely the tip of the iceberg.

and?
Teams in Europe play too many games. Players get fatigued and injured.
Would it be fairer if all games were played at the larger of the two stadiums? People would only whine about it not being all about the money, and the smaller club losing home advantage.
Get to bed bro

TBH I think fans are part of the problem, far too many fans are selfish, fans complain but don't won anything. If fans had boycotted games, then it would send a message. Sadly with game going global, there's always some Muppet to replace an unhappy fan. If fans outside top 6, refused to play a part in this charade PL would take notice. Rodris handball was most obvious example of blatant corruption did anything come of it.

I mean nobody wants [insert big team name here] getting knocked out by a side their global fanbase has never heard of do they? It’s not good for football
