The reason the likes of Tony & Guy charge a fortune, is because all the shops are franchised and it costs a fortune for them to train the staff - they send them all to their " school " in London, which includes all expenses paid in a decent hotel in Central London. The staff are then locked into a contract for X amount of years, so that Tony & Guy get their monies worth out of them.

The girl who cuts my hair, is ex Tony & Guy and had to buy herself out of her contract to set up on her own. It ran into the thousands ( her dad bailed her out )

Some of the other " big places " will be the same I`d Imagine too.
