We just about crawled over the line last season and I attribute it to the fans and Pickford as much as Lampard.

Let’s not paint Lampard as some sort of relegation specialist, we were very very lucky to stay up last season.
The fans dont agree with you 77% want FL retained.

You lost.

Maybe have another go after the Wolves game if we lose?

He got us through one relegation threatened season. I'd rather have someone with that experience than someone who'd find it a shock to the system. If the players are still with him he'll get us clear.
Hes not a relegation fighter manager though. We stayed up with one game to go last season because of the fans. Threw away results at Burnley and Brentford at home.

No one has lost anything. There's arguments either way on this one, it's not clear cut at all because none of us can tell the future.

The only reason I'm reluctant to change manager is I don't trust Moshiri or the board. I don't believe the results or his decision making have been good enough. Most managers in his position lose their job in this league. I'm just not at all convinced anything actually improves with a change.

We are in quite a pickle....

What's undeniable like is that these next 6 weeks, plus the January window, are massive.

Lampard et al now have a chance to go away, reset, and come back with a fresh perspective having hopefully learned a number of lessons since the summer.

If we don't come out against Wolves on Boxing Day all guns blazing I'll be concerned.

We need attackers.

Everything else fits into place then.

Hard to see how, if we lose the first two back after the World Cup, he stays in post.

I hope we can get back to basics and keep it simple. As a club we seem to panic whenever we are asked to do anything that resembles expansive possession football - we tried it under a few managers and it's been a bridge too far.

Start solid, build on set play, try to win 1-0 if we have to, but the emphasis needs to be on those two games not being losses.

It's very difficult to focus on not losing to Manchester City when you are as bad as we are.

Wolves is a must win game at home for that reason.

If we beat Wolves he gets the January window and then some time to bed those players in.

People are panicking blindly because of last season's experiences.
