i have done the best i can for now...

IF the school were to go and we could acquire the necessary bullens road houses then we could shift the stadium slightly.

know the current park end down and rebuild a 2 tier stand 30 metres back. the beauty of this is it would instantly increase capacity - the next build phase would be to demolish half of the bullens then fill the park end bullens corner, 2 tier again, this would still be in the 'current carpark' - use the corner now build to take the lines for the new bullens road.

suddenly we have 50% new stadium and enough "wiggle room" with which to tackle the gwladys then the main stand.

a new park end
a new park end - bullens corner
a new bullens stand
all two tier
would compensate for all losses of seats elsewhere. if it means no visitors for a season, so be it.

there is allegedly a possibility that the school is one of three facing closure, if we could acquire that land then besides the expansion room needed for the bullens it could serve as the new carpark, obviously not quite as big, but so what.

The old stand (park end) was then pulled down in February and replaced by a single tire cantilever stand with a capacity of 6,000 and was opened 17 th September 1994.

so it is do-able.

England were awarded the World Cup in 1966 and in acknowledgement as the prominent league ground, Goodison Park staged more games than any ground outside of Wembley Stadium. Five games were played including the epic quarter final between Portugal and North Korea and the forgettable semi final between West Germany and Russia. In preparation for the World Cup, Everton had bought and demolished some of the houses which stood behind the Park End Stand in order to make way for a new entrance from Stanley Park.

buying houses and demolishing them, who would have guessed.

Trouble is, the financial viability of such a project. We could build a stadium on the moon, but it won't work.

I appreciate the clutching of straws here, but its all about the finances, and getting parties to back projects. Tesco's are in because they are going to get something out of it, what would they get out of it at GP?

they (tesco)wouldnt. Im not convinced on 'revenue streams' at kirkby though, it appears moyes extra £10m per season will be due to increased gates.

all we are getting is a stadium, no hotel, no rec centre, no cinema, no shopping plaza, no casino.

as it stands, we are puttting at least £50 million into the pot, if we used that 50 mill to start the parkend from scratch and then continue the build round through the bullens, where would we stand at that point. one things for sure, it would still be goodison, and unless liverpool city gets chopped up again we would still be in the city boundaries.

It will need council help (specifically the green question mark) It is my understanding the club own everything in the yellow lines.

suddenly the entire site looks rather large, and it means the citys original football club stays within the limits and doesnt deface a listed public park.

good eh?
