Does the club need 'rebranding'? Something based around the new location?

They can’t trademark a region they can trademark Liverpool FC. They and the City have been in court around this.
Look at what WHU did they called their Stadium the City of London Stadium - no one was arsed where they were from - now everyone around the world knows.
Their commercial revenue jumped.
What I’m describing is a real thing.
As I said it’s a delicate balance.
But there woukd be a huge advantage and brand recognition in calling BMD say:
“The Toyota City of Liverpool Stadium”.
Incomprehensible and intolerable.

Horrible term 'rebranding' like, but you can bet the new owners will have been thinking along these lines. I can imagine them thinking:

"Gee, we're named after a district in Liverpool while Liverpool take the whole city? How do we look to improve this...?"

Regardless of what TFG may or may not be thinking, I wonder if there's big opportunity to right a historic wrong here, given we now sit slap bang on the banks of the Mersey?

Positioning the club (accurately) as Merseyside's club has to be something we look at to get the club back to where we were - the premier club in the locality.

Not a name to change to Merseyside FC, of course. That'd be absurd. The name Everton is sacrosanct. But we could use something to do with 'Merseyside' to replace the 'People's Club' pitch that's now fallen into disuse.

Thoughts?
Wait .... Dave are you actually asking for opinions?

I'm going to lie down.

The best way to give a positive brand image is for the club to start competing at the right end of the table.
The new owners will bring 100% professional no nonsense business to the table. They will maximise revenue through us and commercial sponsors.
The new stadium for me is the catalyst for success. New owners, managers and players come and go every few years.
A world class stadium in a world renowned location is a generational moment. It doesn’t guarantee success as nothing does, but if every benefit can be drained from it as I believe these owners will make sure, then it surely gives us the best chance we have had in decades.
This for me personally is the dawn of a new Everton.

First hes complaining that a BBC drama makes the City look bad, then next thing you know hes surrendering the whole City to a horde of murdering scumbags.

Dave K ladies and gents.

Yes, 'the city'. I'm suggesting we go above and beyond all that anyway.

You must be daft as a brush if you think FSG would ignore exploiting the cultural reach of having a state of the art stadium on the banks of one of the most famous rivers in the world.

I hope TFG dont.

I agree 100%.

But we have to give our players and managers and supporters a vision to work towards realising.
