Does the club need 'rebranding'? Something based around the new location?

Don't rename Everton, don't need to include Liverpool, dont need a new tagline,
Simply name the new stadium 'The Mersey Stadium' or 'The Merseyside Stadium'
That way we become bigger than our rivals without spending a penny.
Use the word Mersey or Merseyside in all our communications and get sponsored next year by someone with that in their name.
In other words make Everton and Merseyside synonymous.

Are there any clubs in England named after a river????
Start a new brand ladder with the stadium.

I wonder how the return of the Blue Liver Bird would go down?

Maybe a small one stitched on near the bottom of the kit.

It would cause a stir in the press would allow to impress that we were the original club of the city and the original club to don the bird.

We've almost allowed that lot to rewrite history.
I would back this, but I'd go a step further - we need to get some large, highly visible banners in the stands.

We cant underline 'Liverpool' for them, that's just crazy.

That word is irrecoverable and has been since 1892.

We need to reclaim and split the identity of Liverpool City, somehow.

Make Liverpools footballing identity FC and us Everton

In the same way Manchester is now City and Utd.

Any other rebranding and you are wasting your time in my opinion.

Yeah something like the above.

The thing for me is that it's not a point scoring exercise,it us merely reclaiming our heritage something we've relinquished far to easy to the other lot.

Even our links to Anfield...your average football in fan won't know we won our first league title there,it's stuff we should sing fron the roof tops

The club is absolutely drenched in history.

Just win some trophies then people will know who we are.
Ultimately this is it but we shouldn't be shy and brow beaten about out standing within British football.

We were part of the building blocks that built the game in England...not Liverpool,But Everton.

Only last week you had Marco Silva telling the Portuguese press that were "a fascinating club"

We're an incredible club.

Then we should act like one and win some things

Yes, 'the city'. I'm suggesting we go above and beyond all that anyway.

You must be daft as a brush if you think FSG would ignore exploiting the cultural reach of having a state of the art stadium on the banks of one of the most famous rivers in the world.

I hope TFG dont.
It will happen, but it cant be manufactured, it has to happen organically.

The first we need to do is enter the conversation.

I’m not sure of the practicality.

Yep I’d understand a renewed alignment to Merseyside, but, and it’s a bigger but than Rod Stewart’s - are we not already?
