With Halloween and Bonfire Night coming up I wondered if anyone has recommendations for calming tablets for our dog. There are so many makes out there most probably good but some bad. Any recommendations or advice would be welcomed

I had to put my best pal down last week (Thursday) he was almost 11yrs old, chocolate lab named Wembley. I was absolutely devastated. He got an 18m life sentence over 3yrs ago, ended up with Degenerative Myelopathy, Laringial Paralysis, Diabetes and blindness!! So all in all he did very well. Living in the USA and being now completely alone, it’s hard but I take great comfort in the fact he has a great life and enriched mine beyond any expectations! RIP Wembley.

A decent vet ( not one of those vet warehouses like Pets at Home ) will give you a short course of animal sedatives mate.

We had a Spaniel, that was really bad with fireworks, the sedatives did the trick, as he was too sleepy and mellow to care about the noise lol

Sorry to hear that mate. It's heartbreaking. I lost one of my labs a couple of years ago at the same age.
What you say is exactly right they enrich your life so much. RIP Wembley
