The "nanny dog" stuff is a myth pushed around by pit bull apologists.

Staffies are great little dogs though, that get a much worse press than they deserve. One of the most even-tempered and tolerant breeds around.

They're little tanks though, and being terriers they tend to bite and hold rather than nip, and their unfortunate popularity with people who want a "tough looking" dog, and with cretins who probably shouldn't own any dogs at all, has led to problems with inbreeding and a few dogs with behavioural problems that aren't down to how they've been raised. Its a problem with all bully breeds. People suck.

I like them. I think they're great little dogs, but nothing I said was BS.

My cousin has got one, he's just about the soppiest dog I know, and one of my dogs best friends is a staff.

I don't think they deserve the amount of bad press they get, but there's no need for people to make up rubbish like the "nanny dog" stuff to defend them, and dismissing the issues with some of them out of hand does nobody any favours, least of all the dogs.

ok but it’s not said for nothing mate is it

i swear by it utterly fine with the kids any kids what so ever (nanny)

the XL bully thing is now making ALL dogs look a bit suspect but again i know a friend with one and he’s as soft as you get
