Following the release of the Sciences Smartest Dogs Report, heres the top 10.

1. Border Collie
2. Poodle
3. German Shepherd

Border collies are the bossest of dogs - cleverer than me - not difficult.

I'd post a piccie of my little Rosie but it doesn't seem to load up.

saw a program once where they tested a dogs intellegence by putting a sheet over its head and seeing how long it took to free itself. The quickest to work out how to free itself was the most intellegent and the one that took the longest the dumbest.

The Labrador did it in about 3 seconds... The poodle sat there for several minutes without doing anything until the sheet was removed by its owner.

So I dont see how a poodle can be the 2nd most intellgent dog breed?

I saw that show on NBC (I think) but the poodle won, it didn't come last. I'm certain that it did it in about 3 seconds. I think the pug (Dutch Toffeee's dog) came last. In fact, many minutes later the cute, wee doggy was still sitting there with a sheet over his or her head.

Poodles are definitely the cleverest dog.

Pugs and Jack Russells are the daftest.

Pug dogs could have originated from the Carribean. Just take life easy, isn't it today then it will be tomorrow. Their not stupid, just why work yourself in a sweat, while you can wait lying there so someone else takes it off you?:lol::lol:

Behave yourself Neb.

Jack Russell's are in a different League to those pugs.:@

I love them, mate. I was only joking about the rug thing. When the missus and I discuss getting a dog, I always try to persuade her on the pug. She's more or less in agreement, although she keeps going on about scruffy dogs with long hair! :@

Obviously a half breed.

3/4 Jack Russell at best I reckon.

Full JR, mate. She is (was) a cracker, though.

Cleverest dog we had was mixed breed anyway. I think she was heeler with something a bit bigger. Her name was Tess. I loved that dog. :(

Smartest dog we've had was.... well actually they've all been a bit daft but the most loveable dogs I could imagine, I suppose that's what we get for having 4 Springers

That's all well and good, but having a list of the 10 smartest dogs is the same as having a list of the 10 smartest kids in the bottom class at school.

Are you a cat person? Not that theres anything wrong with that.

I think she might be confusing a pug dog with Fellaini. Not that he is scruffy of course.:dodgy::D

Yes, I do like the cats. They're nice.

She wouldn't know Fellaini if she tripped over his afro. She's not a soccerball type of gal. I've given up on her to be honest. But she does think pugs rock, which is something in her favour. :D

They're absolutely great mate. Not the kind of dog you take for an hours long walk, but probably the friendliest creatures on earth. Very loyal and enthousiastic nature. Mind you very stubborn though.

Got a Labrador Retriever. Thick as pigshit, but absolutely beautiful dog. One of those teen heartthrobs who can't string a sentence together. (the Zac Efron of dogs, basically)

That's what I have heard, which is why I quite fancy one. Plus, I reckon a pug couldn't bully my cats, on account of the fact that they're so small and sweet. In fact, I reckon my cats would batter the pug.

They are adorable, though, DT. How could anyone not fall for their little faces?
