I like Will Hughes actually, But Davies is 3 years younger which, as you say, makes a massive difference at that age.

Due to mismanagement of the squad DCL & Davies have both played too much for us for the stage they are at. They were both thrown in at the deep end and asked to do a job and the promising thing is that it hasn't seemed to knock eithers confidence, despite the fact that they have understandably struggled at times. They both seem to have good character which bodes well for them making it.
Sunday was an example of better management of young players - sending them on with specific instructions that play to their strengths, allowing them to focus and execute. Doing this over time you can build up their skills and confidence, rather than risking their development by asking too much too soon.
That being said, I think both Davies and DCL have done well under difficult circumstances and both look improved this season under Silva - hopefully now with Gomes in midfield and the additions in attack they can both flourish with the pressure lifted.

Agreed. I think now we're starting to get closer to having a fully fit squad, you will see all of our younger players being utilised in the right way. And hopefully it will also result in a massive reduction in the abuse they get on this forum.

Not good enough as a long term option out wide. But certainly good enough to make an impact off the bench and leading the line in some games.
