I thought him and Niasse were both useless until DCL scored. Suppose you will struggle to argue against 2 goals with 1 putting the game to bed.

I honestly think it’s really unfair to compare the two performances, I thought niasse was woeful and DCL did fine . Goals aside I don’t think he was exceptional but he did fine and he did score a couple of very nice goals , niasse was just dreadful in my opinion .

Niasse showed he is nothing but an impact sub. His first touch is dire. I just think DCL needs to get involved a bit more, great finish for the 2nd though.

Absolute Best case scenario he’s an impact sub to run a round and hopefully cause chaos when defenders are tired both physically and mentally , he looked just really poor yesterday, although it’s incredibly hard to dislike the fella .

DCL looks to have improved as a footballer and still a lot to come , it could be interesting to watch and as you say great finish for the second . Actually two good finishes .

When you're up front you just need to but the ball in the onion bag

He did that last night

I'll happily put up with a striker having a so-so performance so long as he slots a winner

As it was, I thought DCL did far better than so-so last night and actually played very well. He got my vote for MOTM in fact

It's almost impossible for a striker to score every single time he plays. We need to be patient with DCL as he's shown continuous steady improvement. He's not going to magically become Harry Kane overnight. He's only 21, he will get better. We need to support him from now on and not stick the boot in every time he has a goalless outing

He's getting into the right positions and clearly has a good work ethic. The goals will come, I have no doubt about it
