He's getting there. I would definitely think we need a senior partner but Dom could end up saving us a bomb in the transfer market. i have high hopes for DCL, looks like he has his head screwed on and seems like he is eager to learn and works hard, everything you want from young players, non of these playboy types.

I've never got the negativity towards this player. He's a developing player and you know what? He's continuing to develop.

You can't teach pace, which he has in spades, or athleticism, both of his stongest traits.

You can teach his short comings though...
100%, he may never be prolific, prolific strikers have it naturally but he can totally improve on it and it doesn't mean he can't help the team with the attributes he does have. He's doing good the young lad.

Fair enough, looking at that I think he should’ve taken another touch and tried to draw the keeper out a bit more. But it was a great run to get in behind, the sort a striker needs to make 4 or 5 times a game just to get one chance.

And he needs 4-5 of them to score so he needs to make Them rounds 16-25 times to get a goal and it’s not good enough

I'd have given him a 30% chance of scoring that chance Sissoko had the other day. Don't think he'd have blazed it 20 yards over the bar, anyway. Disgraceful, that.

I agree with this and one indication of this is how he bulked up and work on his fitness last summer. There are very few PL clubs which would give so much responsibility to a 22 y o striker so it's really good we are doing this and hopefully we will be rewarded. J

In Summary we should just be chanting his name, supporting him and boosting his confidence

He’s 22 and been playing in an absolutely turd team with zero creative players.

I like dcl me, said it all along he's got most of what you require to be a good striker

but that excuse only goes far doesn't it? the last few games alone he's had some very good chances and missed them all, he does need to work on his finishing

From the low of Millwall he's shown considerable improvement,if he can work on his finishing he'll be making strides to be the CF we need, and at least he doesn't have rubber shins.

But we’ve not been getting beat so... why do we need to complain? We’re a better side currently when he plays whether he slots or someone else does.

He will turn into the next Harry Kane.
Kane never going until he was slightly older than DCL and had far better players around him.
