Similar to Holgate I think. Clearly there's something there worth including in plans for the future but he's just not there ready yet. Today and Fulham have shown he hasn't got the finishing ability to be the difference maker in tight games and any team serious about cracking the top 6 needs a centre forward leading who will bag 15 goals a season as an absolute minimum.

A loan next season isn't the worst idea, he needs another year where he starts over 30 games and without Europe now he won't get it here.

Exactly. I really like him but he just isn’t a finisher. Can’t fault his effort but we need to have better if we are to ever win anything again.
