Should have had a hatrick? .
Nonsense.

I agree. Any half chance he is slaughtered for not slotting. He is being judged at a higher rate. Richarlison shd have scored but it’s pretty quiet on that.
Everyone can see that we need a better striker, but dcl is a decent squad player.

Happy for him that he scored but it was another, by and large, dreadful performance. He did a couple of things on that just left me gobsmacked as to how a supposedly professional striker could mess something up so badly.

The first was the pass that was rolled into him that he had to hit first time, yet he seemed to think that the Bournemouth defenders would give him a week to make up his mind and he ended up skying a shot with his left foot miserably over the bar.

The second was the back pass that he did well to close down, but he immediately undid any of his good work by failing to round the goalkeeper which really wasn't difficult - their goaly had already committed and was on the floor yet he somehow just played it straight into him.

If that goal saves his place in the first team, I will have serious reservations about Marco Silva's judgement moving forward.

He's been doing similar most games without scoring. I fear that goal will earn him a contract extension if anything.

Absolutely, he just does things with so little conviction or belief. "Being a handful" is just not enough for where we want to be. Unlike the season under Allardyce were we genuinely had a disgusting team, I'm actually quite positive about our playing staff, (with some exceptions) . I think we should be finishing at minimum a comfortable seventh with the quality we have yet Calvert-Lewin contributes so little to our attacking output that we carry so little threat despite the presence of players like Iwobi and Richarlison in our team.

I'd play Tosun over DcL every single day of the week if Kean isn't ready to start.

It pains to say but I think we'd be better off he didn't score. I'm not trying to support my bias towards him I just think I've seen enough like 40 games ago including yesterday. But now he will persist with him could cost us many points.
This is true, as mad as it sounds that goal is counter productive

I partially agree. He may have made the Kean switch earlier if Dom didn’t score. It kind of insured he would stay on till Bournemouth took control of the game again.
