Whats that got to do with calvert lewin? Most of the comments are more observations. Observations that he will score more goals against the likes of sheff weds and their championship level defenders. He might just not be the level we need.
No need to go all philosophical on us.

Is right mate, and my observation is that Lewin is cack.

So your in depth philosophical analysis leads you to the conclusion that millionaire premier league player Dominic Calvert Lewin is probably a more talented footballer than most of us? Must have taken some serious thinking that.

Clearly you haven't read my post properly. I said "any special talents", this statement isn't confined to just football. I guess reading isn't one of your strengths either.

kean will be a better choice this weekend when much more space will be available for him to exploit.
less compact defence, breakaway with yards of space to exploit and running at defenders is a more suited for kean.
This is a sensible way of thinking of DCL / Kean. THey're both young, both need to work out their game and careers, so we just use them properly for a while and they'll learn and develop.
Not DCL is crap bin him off - i hate that kind of stuff. 2 young strikers is good. We're ok!

It cant be easy being a forward for our blues. Especially now he is wearing number 9.

I think this guy has some skill and I would love him to succeed but i fear despite the odd bit of skill and goal or two he may not be the best choice.

His level of talent may just be championship worthy.

Despite what Silva said today I would like to see two up top. DCL and Kean's skillsets are naturally complementary. DCL banging bodies with CBs, winning aerial duels, holding the ball up, and creating space for Kean to run into. Kean playing off his shoulder and giving DCL someone to lay off to who can actually finish.

But I'm just some Internet guy.

I think the club have let him down a bit. I agree with many comments here about him being championship level. He should have been there on loan last year or this year or both. Regular games where he can develop out of the spotlight a little.
The problem is we have failed to bring in a decent striker. Niasse, Tosun and Sandro. This year we bring in someone with even less experience.
I feel we are running the risk of ruining him. Similar could end up happening to Kean if we aren't careful.

I agree, but that's where there really needed to be a more experienced goal scorer brought in during the summer so there wasn't that pressure on either of them to be the main source of goals.

Maybe it comes down to failing to move Tosun on? Get his wages off the books and there's room in the squad / budget for a llorente type signing, someone who can score and allow Keane answer DCL to come into games for 30 minutes or against lesser opponents until they build the understanding and confidence to fulfill their potential?

Time to run a makeshift centre half pairing ragged tomorrow sweet prince x

Talking of our sweet prince...is Niasse still around? Is he in the Premier League squad(the 25) ? Still reckon he's worth a place on the bench as something different.Cardiff didn't actually make any chances for him but he does convert when he gets a chance, and he did well for Silva at Hull.

You have to play him. Two goals must have given him a lift.

I dont think this lad will ever be good enough for us to progress and go for top 4 or 6. Im not into this goal or 2 every 8 games. His overall play is bang average. Well below even the likes fir example of a troy deeney who himself is average. Im not for him starting at all but he scored 2 goal during week and you are right he should be starting today
