Mina and pickford are separate issues.Lewin needs to score one of those two chances..that's what strikers in the premier do.
 
He's on a hiding to nothing is DCL. Until we sign a quality proper CF, and that’s not a converted winger or immobile lump- we are inevitably going to have to use him when I think quite clearly he’s not anywhere the standard required for any side in the top half of the prem. it reminds me of Tony Hibbert, in that we will look back and wonder how DCL ever played so many seasons/games for us when clearly a player no other other side with European ambitions would field- the answer being for many years we simply did not sign anyone better. Like hibbert tho the lad does try I think, it’s hard to criticise the him to the levels some do when the performances he delivers are the performances he is basically capable of in my opinion.

I think you would be very surprised, Solanke(sic)never had many games for Liverpool, not sure if he scored many for them, he went to Bournemouthfor over £20M. Dominic would have quite a few clubs interested in him, the more he plays the better he will become, if Silva changes his tactics the quicker he will improve, and so will his scoring rate.

I doubt it. That Solanke transfer is one of many 'dodgy' over the top fees paid by Bournemouth to Liverpool over recent years.

I thought we could get ball park £15m for him in the summer and wanted us to sell then. The more he plays, I'm less convinced other clubs see a player in him.

The keeper should have no chance of saving it tho. All he had to do was lift the ball over the keeper , he knew that, he tried it but miss hit it with the outside of his boot and got no lift on it. It was exactly the same chance he missed against Fulham last season
 
He's definitely suited to playing the bigger sides who come to win, the mad world of football when your striker is actually better against better teams but seems to be lost against defensive sides.
