To help DCL.... LOL he's beyond help Dixie Dean himself couldn't help DCL turn into anything but an average mid table championship player.

Useless, it’s embarrassing that he is our number 9 given what’s come before him.
Anyone still waiving the DCL flag needs to give their head a serious wobble he’s completely useless and would struggle to score in the championship.

I will never ever forget him. This lad is gonna make 100 appearances for Everton Football Club. Scandalous mismanagement personified.

We bring disrespect to the number 9 shirt ourselves by giving it to the likes of Sandro and DCL.

He is a Championship striker or a can come off the bench for last 10-15 mins against bottom 10 team.

We'd be lucky if he can even score 8 goals this season.

Really so a top striker needs 5 chances to score 1 so dcl probably needs 20 then. Has a Championship striker.

Silva seems to have finally noticed that he is at best a Championship player , hopefully soon enough he will realise DCL is too .

Laughable that a proud club like ours has dcl as our number 9. Championship forward. We Will be at his level next season if we marco keeps playing him. Such an important position.

Or those that thought Holgate, DCL or Davies would suddenly morph from 10mill Championship class players to 40mill+ top 6 types.

He’s championship quality at best, 95% of the time he offers nothing and we play much better when he isn’t playing. I just don’t rate him at all.

Well depends what stats you are referring too. DCL is a championship player at best.

Another championship player we have in our starting line up. Him & DCL should be nowehere near a premier league side

Was coming round to watching it then remembered DCL would be playing.

We need to swerve Holgate too. Another Championship player.

You do realise he has been our main front man for last 2 years and we have been shapeless. Dcl is the worst forward to ever wear our number 9 jersey. Not only that we are shocking in the final 3rd for last 2 years. Why. This lad is up front. He cant score. He is supposedly a big lad and wins around 1 in 5 challenges. He doesnt get in goal scoring positions. He misses them when he does. He has 1 foot. And niasse will work as good as him so that nullified that point.The only time we looked half alright up there was when richie was played down the middle. Dcl was shockingly bad against leicester. Around 4 balls were whipped into the box. He wasn't near the end of one of them.

I'm sick of him and his championship standard.

This is it though, everyone saying it’s their B team, we have 3/4/5 players there who are Championship, Holgate, Davies, DCL, Keane. Play championship players, you get a championship team.

This club will never achieve anything with this amateur as as number one choice.

There are more pressing things obviously right now,

But can I say about DCL - he's played enough matches now to be able to say it, but he is an AWFUL player.

A bog standard championship no hoper.

Quite why managers have persisted with him I don't know.

I have knocked DCL many times and it’s still early days in Duncs management, but DCL isn’t and I don’t believe will ever be good enough to play up top on his own, Dunc has seen that and gone 2 up top and he looks much better player. TBH Richarlison is the only one we have good enough to play up top on his own. Whether DCL will continue this good run of form only time will tell, but the system he’s being playing in before Dunc took over has held him back.

Holgate motm for me but DCL was top class...shows how good Holgate was.

DCL has to put a run of performances of this level together and get on the scoresheet more...could have easily scored before the OG and really that goal was purely down to him.

Showed how to play for this club, something Richarlison does up top as well...Kean has to learn from their desire.

Sorry ain’t got a clue what you mean, but what I will say for a striker DCL doesn’t ever really strike a ball with any power, most of the time he has a woeful shot on him, that he needs to improve.

A couple of good performances don't over write a 16 goal return in four seasons. We all want him to do well and who knows maybe Duncan will be the making of him but he's still some way off showing he's good enough to lead the line for a club with actual ambition.

Will he be the 20 goal a season player we have been craving for? I’d love him to but For me no I’d be stunned if he got 20 in a season. Not including Richarlison out of our strikers DCL is the best of a bad bunch. I’ll give him credit he’s putting the work in but he has a very long way to go to become a top striker.

Totally agree, putting a shift in and winning headers is all well and good, but we want to see goals.
