DCL is coming on slightly but the hours he has had this season he should be doing more, if Kean had those minutes I'm sure he would.
474 for Kean but 1295 for DCL is a real shame

You’re right just means you have to have a 300m worry of players either side of him and a midfield that has Kante ( the worlds best defensive mid) Pogba was the world most expensive player once playing behind him. Think it’s more realistic just to buy another striker don’t you think?

He doesn't need to score that many.... just like Firminho doesn't..... like Di Canio didn't, like GudJonssen, Dugarry, Bergkamp, giroud....all pretty much front men whose input wasn't measured on goals scored.

Some may have been assist kings, some clever players who made space for others, DCL brings his own attributes which the most successful manager in Europe rates more important than a £20m prodigy in Kean

All of those players mentioned apart from Giroud were absolutely top class with the ball and all had excellent football brains and all lacked pace or at least wernt “fast”. Firmino has two wingers that bag 20 goals a season up with him, bergkamp had Henry and Wright with him, Di canio was a very good player and scored absolute crackers from nothing and if he wasn’t such a lunatic he would have probably not been stuck at west ham, Sheff wed and Celtic, gudjohnsen played with drogba, Lampard and then went to Barca. These are all second strikers in the Beardsley mould and can’t really be compared to DCL as he doesn’t creat enough or have enough guile or craft to be that type of player, he is a cf that leads the line and in that role he needs to be able to shoot

I think it probably was handball but it's very close to shoulder.

He took the shot in the 1 v 1 too early. He should gone in closer and asked the defender if he wanted to dive in and the keeper if he was coming off the line.

My biggest issue with him is I had zero faith he was going to finish that one on one.

Put himself about excellently yesterday and ran himself into the ground, but chances like that are often the difference between a win and a draw and I just don't feel like this area of his game is improving

I like him and think he will come good, but I thought he was disappointing today. Almost like he didnt want to mix it with their big defenders.

Putting this into the debate. Did well in this 1v1 at Cardiff last year ( look at Siggy too!!!!)
DCL doesn’t actually put laces through this one either but it is a really good finish. Does not have a naturally strong shot imo but is still making progress. If we had a really lethal guy plus him we would be well up the table.
