Nar absolute nonsense that mate, can guarantee you if it was DCL who had slotted a few pens and we suggested they "didn't count" we would have shut down and told to behave.

removing pens because conversion is much higher? Shall we remove the goal DCL robbed on the line against city and then and his open goal on the line tap in against Newcastle because they are easier goals?

Doesn't work that way, all counts count the same

No one said they don’t count, but you can either just take a stat at face value or you can actually look at the detail. Stats are useless without context.

Tap ins from close range aren’t the same as there still has to be some strikers instinct there eg making the right run, right place at the right time etc. A penalty is just a free shot at goal from 12 yards.

A high % of a players goals coming from penalties would be quite concerning because what happens if the team don’t win any penalties....

Yeh, of course he needs to improve his 1v1. It's weird though because he strikes such a nice penalty but in-game it's just not the same. I'm not sure on the 2 good chances though vs Brighton; I think the one disallowed was harsh based on what the refs have said in the past on handball and the little outside of the foot in the box wasn't easy at all to edge past Ryan. One on the edge of the box was the best chance but still wasn't so straightforward.

He had three totally different types of chances and couldn’t finish any of them.
