DCL is average, nothing more, We want to push on he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team

Thing is I’m not slating him... he plays to the best of his ability which is all you can ask but sadly it’s not enough to be consistently good enough to be a top striker. It’s not his fault.

How do you reconcile this with him playing just a hair below top striker level this season at 22 years old?

How many seasons has he been playing ? How many games in top flight football ? He’s had a good few months granted ... when he does it next year and the next and the next then maybe he could be considered as a top striker.

So basically the Harry Kane approach where some people still haven't seen enough because back in the day they said he wasn't good enough

Our leading goalscorer still getting stick .....,.even after a win ......if he had stayed on and got the winner as Kean fluffed his effort for Walcott to score the winner just be happy we won with ten men - the midfield is our problems we have pace upfront as for DCL he held the ball up today .....just no service as the other forwards suffered too.....
