A proper striker is alongside him. He needs to look at Richarlison and watch that lad: he's full of heart and intelligent running. An absolute nightmarte for defenders, which is why he'll go for a massive fee.

People love to slate Danny Ings on here but his movement is on another level to Bambi's.

Thats something that cant be taught with age.

Nope, you've seen him go into them from side on or behind, but you wont see him head on facing these defenders and gambling to get across them. Remember the Palace away game last season when he pulled out of committing to a driven cross from Richarlison? He's done it many times since (including yesterday where he failed to make contact with a cross, he would have done if he was 100% committed to getting there).

In understand it, I wouldn't want a boot in the face or an elbow to the side of the head or a forearm smash from an oncoming GK either, but he gets paid to face that.
Oh do pipe down you tedious bobble head.

I'm one of Dave's biggest fans, but the idea that DCL doesn't put himself about and throw himself into aerial duels is fairly astonishing. It's practically the one part of his game the jury isn't still out on

Hes a busted flush sadly.

All hes got left is throwing around the word coward. Sad to see such a good poster crash like this.

50-50 balls: the lad doesn't want to know.

If he had half the bravery Richarlison has then he'd be ok. He really needs to watch and learn from Richarlison in the time the Brazillian has left here.

Richarlison is the real deal; Calvert-Lewin isn't.

He's scoring goals and working well for the team in a system that suits all of our attacking players (if not the midfielders/defence).

I'm chuffed for him.

Weird how the real deal has less goals then the coward then innit.

Log off Dave, come back in 5 years.

I speak the truth about players who have successfully pulled the wool over the eyes of many.

I see him as a bang average striker who who would never get in a top 4/5 PL team. Certainly not as he is right now. Which is my point: he needs to improve 100% if he wants to get to Richarlison's standard.

Danny Ings will never score half as many in a season again. He is a bang average player on a hot streak. He'll regress to his mean.

Whether Calvert Lewin can keep up this level is a different question.
