Regretfully, Davek is one of those people who drones about how things are being done wrong, people are terrible at their jobs, their positions etc or he claims our signings were the wrong one. but when asked what could be done better or who we should have signed goes 'well that's not my job' or 'i'm not paid to know to that'

I think a lot of the time Davek is just being controversial. The TalkSport of the forum.

Or he's touting Marc Albrighton.

Our budget has been massive. A club that spens £30M on tat like Iwobi.

Who should it be? How is that my call to make? Let me ask you a question: do you think there aren't players out there with better movement and end product than DCL with the cash we'll likely to have to throw at it - with or withit the sale of Richarlison?
I asked you the question ?

I asked you the question ?

Four who wouldn't break the bank all playing for good clubs and all with far superior movement than Calvert-Lewin:

Ben Yedder at Monaco
Kevin Volland at Leverkusen
Patrik Schick at Leipzig
Jota at Wolves

...but, of course, these wont be good enough for you and you'll continue ploiughing through that furrow saying 'who else can we get besides Calvert-Lewin?'

Spunk our budget on Werner imo

I'll be honest Dave I haven't really seen a lot of the top 3, but while Jota at Wolves is an intelligent player who's off the front, his record is nowhere near that out Calvert Lewin.

I'm probably a bit old fashioned in this, but I like to look at how many goals my stickers gets, in how many games. Only 3 lads have scored as many as him with a better goals per minute ratio this season.

He's not perfect. Lukaku wasn't perfect either. However we'd all have him back in a heartbeat, despite similar conversations being had when he went. Sometimes we don't always appreciate what we have.

He may very well be,but when Burnley sit above us in the league, you always have to question the clubs set up.

Jota has 5 goals this season and DCL has 12, What in the world are you smoking?

Andy Cole missed 5 chances to score his 6th after moving from newcastle to United.

Hed previously scored loads for bristol and Newcastle...

DCL has 12...4 more and hes up there with Lukaku / Kanchelskis for top scorers since the 80s i think?

I have changed my thinking with this a bit. I do wonder if we over emphasise finishing and it's importance. To me most of the best strikers make their own chances, or their movement, power, pace, intelligence etc makes it easy for others to make chances for them. They keep putting themselves in the position and keep scoring goals.

Andy Cole is a great example really. To me not the most clinical finisher but made it really easy to make changes for him.

I thought the same for Lukaku really. I actually think his finishing was a bit hit and miss, but he could score every type of goal. There were also times when defenders just couldn't handle him.

There's no doubt Calvert Lewin has to become more clinical but having a striker who scores one and misses 4 is not the worst position to be in. You think of the goal he scores and the headed chance, nobody else in our team get those chances.

It's one season, and he's aided by an utter trojan like Richarlison alongside who gets the hard yards done.

For me, DCL does not have the movement of a top player. Ancelotti has a task on with that. I think he'll move to get a top striker in during the summer.

Ben Yedder moved to Monaco for £36m
Volland's top league goals in a season were 14
Schick will cost £30m+ from Roma
Jota would break the bank.

Next please.

for once, i can't believe i'm saying this, I agree with Dave!
