Jesus wept. He made a run!? Great. How was his movement and contribution compared to Ings today?
probably because Southampton have a functioning midfield.
I mean I'm not making excuses for DCL, Since restart he has reverted to what he was under Silva all running no goals but with this midfield at the lowest of the low I don't even know what else he can do. Sure he should score this and that but he gets half a chance a game if that.

Inges had a great midfield behind him - although I admit DCL should have scored with the rare through ball he received why did he not head the bal over the keeper who was advancing ?
I thought he was poor looked tired as we have no midfield what's so ever - Kean who came on looked even worse than him ........ also why did we sub Gordon ?

I think we just need to accept him for what he is. A striker in the mould of Emile Heskey or Carlton Cole.
He’s 23 now, expecting him to suddenly become a top slotter is not going to happen.
Should be causing havoc with his power and pace, but doesn’t have an ounce of goalscoring instinct.

Carlton Cole was a midfielder?

Just because he is playing in a poor team? Still our leading goalscorer - I agree he was not at his best tonight ......as was Rhico at Spurs ........

Not good enough this guy. His overall play is poor. When he gets the ball he generally loses it. He had one chance and whatever that was, it was embarrassing. If he’d have played half as well as ings tonight it would have been an improvement. Be interesting to see what our fans would be like if Ings had put on a performance like that for Everton. The thread would be full of better than Harry Kane shouts

If Calvert Lewin is in Richarlisons position when the ball is played over for the goal tonight, he shins it out towards the corner flag
He was at one point in a similar position like that from a Sidibe cross I think, but he couldn't sort himself and the ball bounced off his hip.
Quickly regaining the nickname Bambi.
