Anyone know what the record is for most goals scored with the head in a season? Whatever it is he’s going to beat it . He’s on 4 already

The five players with the most headed goals in a single Premier League season
  • Dion Dublin – Coventry 1995/96 – 8 goals.
  • Dwight Yorke – Aston Villa 1995/96 – 8 goals.
  • Roque Santa Cruz – Blackburn 2007/08 – 8 goals.
  • Dwight Yorke – Manchester United 1999/00 – 8 goals.
  • Duncan Ferguson – Everton 1997/98 – 9 goals.

No way, can’t believe 9 is the record.

I was a bit shocked myself that Big Dunc held the record. I mean I used the first thing I found, it might be wrong.

It’s probably right, I just can’t believe players like Shearer and Kane who scored 20+ goals on a regular basis never scored more than 9 headers in a season once.

Really surprised shearer didn’t get more in a season tbh. Scored a lot and was a great header of the ball

Im not sure he’s good enough at finishing with his feet to become world class but based on start of this season he can certainly become a top player who regularly gets 20ish goals a season.

With James / Digne on set piece duty there is no reason why Dom, Mina, Keane or Rich can't join this list.
