There would have been no one to knock it down to. We had Gomes and Sig as our most fwd midfielders. We were missing our star players and we struggled. Squad players are not good enough.

Why won't you let other people have an opinion about DCL? He actually played ok yesterday I thought.

Player Valuation: £15m
He's in an impossible position with the players we have missing. He's been slated in the past for not being in the box and spending too much time coming short and running channels. Carlo tells him he wants him to be more Inzaghe-esque.. he does that, he scores every game we're top of the league, everyone's happy. Take away all our creative threat and the problem is we dont need an Inzaghe atm, we need old Dom that runs the channels and holds the ball up to allow our OAPs the 10 seconds they need to get close to him. Thought he was decent yesterday, couple of half chances that due to his form we expect him now to do better but a decent goal to give us a bit of hope final 5mins.
A top player, would score 25 this season if we had players willing and able to give him the service he needs and deserves.

MOTD 2 claimed he had a very good game holding the ball up wit two defenders marking him with abosulutly no one near him plus starved of service he still scores yet posters still like to find fault on here which is a joke imo ........only he the Keeper plus one or two others had a reasonable game as a defeat is a defeat at the end of the day ......no good to us - DCL scored that's his job .....
Fantastic finish for the goal and great movement
DCL has had nothing to work with two games in a row and little to work with against the RS because they’re a top team and yet he scored 2 in 3 and the only arguable ‘miss’ was not getting on the end of Digne’s cross at 1-1 against the RS.
Whilst I’m massively disappointed only taking 1 point from those three matches the one positive is we have a real center forward now in DCL and given the chance, he hits the net. Also his hold up play yesterday was unbelievably good but having no overlapping runs or good movement anywhere near him he got nothing to show for it. I strongly believe that just with Richarlison next to him out of our 4 missing first teamers we would’ve won yesterday
