Fully understand why, thinking long term it might be worth it.
It cant be the cup game, as that's priority, could it be Arsenal? That could be a easy three points.
For me we shouldn't play him at Leicester. If Carlo really wants to.rest him do it there. They are far better then us, sad but true, we could play him there, lose anyway the rest him against Arsenal when he is far more likely to win the game for us.

Rest him Boxing day at Sheff Utd
I'd rest Dominic Calvert-Lewin for the Arsenal game so we have him fresh and hungry for the Cup game against Man Utd, give him the Sheffield United game off to relax with his family and have a bit of a recharge, then just start him as usual for the rest of our fixtures. Cenk Tosun is a more than adequate enough player to fill in for a couple of matches.
