If he hits 7 in the last 4 which is unlikely but not impossible his goals per game ratio in the Premier League would actually be better than Lukakus best season. If he gets 2 in the last 4 he will have a better goals per game than Lukakus 2nd best season. I'm not sure how much better he could really have done.

Exactly right and to be fair, Dom has been playing in a defensive minded team for over half a season, a fantastic achievement in itself.

Was chuffed with him scoring that type of goal yesterday. As Carlo said, it's one he hasn't scored a lot of this season and in recent months he's fluffed those types of chances when they've come to him.

Apart from Rom, who is now one of the top strikers in the world, we have hardly had a striker score more than 10-12 a season consistently, and unless we think we just promote Simms to replace him and hope he hits 15 in his first PL season...?

Anybody else slightly concerned at his comments after the game, about enjoying London and the freedom he has down there. In context of course

We are lucky to have the lad Mikey.

Hes everything I look for in a Striker, big tall, puts himself about, runs all day, never dials it in and he scores goals, a lot of goals, very, very lucky, I wouldn't trade him for any Striker in the League.

I wouldn't either. And an outsider would misinterpret this and say 'Oh so you think DCL is better than Kane, Aguero, Salah and Rashford??' but the point is he's exactly what we need and he'll grow even more with the team

His best season for us by some margin, needs back up, though. It’s been unfair to him that we’ve put so much pressure on him to play every minute of most games and we’ve rushed him back from injuries too early IMO.

Nice little run of goals till the end of season would be great.
