He's what played against Norwich and Villa.
Both under sub par management and where the team as a whole is in a slump. And he was just coming back from a really long term injury. So I think maybe some allowances can be made considering the circumstances.

since then he's had another knock to recover from.

So that brings us to the Leeds game, first game under the new manager with a new system and style.
Doesn't get a full 90
And your calling him out for not scoring already?

Yeah strikers should be scoring and getting on the end of them.
And yes I do think he was a bit off the mark and could have been a bit alert.
But his hold up play was great, and so was his pressing.

Just needs another game or two to settle into being back in the starting 11 and adapt to the new system.

Just give him a chance you miserable individual
I was coming round then...until your last sentence.

….it was him who challenged the defender & the ball flicked up for Coleman to nod in & it was him directly behind Keane ready to convert.
I know it was. But that wasn't him assisting was it?

I know what DCL is capable of.

Is it wrong to demand he now produces it again?

I dont think so.

Clarification that he had a great game right there. ?
We cant always rely on a LB and CB getting our goals.

He needs to be putting himself in to try and snap up half chances or even better than that...something he wasn't doing on Saturday.

Needs to up his game by about 50% to provide a threat to the opposition.

….it’s absolutely vital in our position that we get a contribution of goals from elsewhere. If he stays healthy I have no doubt DCL will get his quota as well as supporting the wider team effort.

You need to up your game by 99% if you think this one will stick. Maybe throw a line out that suggests that El Ghazi should be getting game time ahead of Richarlison.

Ultimately though, I am sorry to say that if came down to a choice as to who remains in the Everton family, you or Dom, well, farewell and Godspeed DaveK.

The RB scored Dave, you should get that right as you’ve seemingly moved him up to main hero in your latest script rewrite

You are becoming the Trump of the forum, Orange face, moaning and whining and baiting in every thread

…and sketchy on facts

:hayee:

…still mostly fun tho

I have reservations over his finishing capabilities, but I do think he can improve on that sense as a lot of that is keeping your nerve and not panicking as he definitely has the ability.

What I did think was clear and obvious was how good of a hold up player he actually is, strong, draws defenders in, wins free kicks, I actually think hes one of the best in the league for this and I realised how much we actually miss him in the Leeds game when he was back doing this type of thing.

£50/60m would be tempting, but who would honestly be able to replace him that would come to us?

If he's looking to move on in the summer, the best thing he can do for himself is finish the season strongly.

There will already be younger, shinier models on the buying clubs' radars (eg Broja).
