This is a huge blow, it really is. Everton needed a striker anyway, but now we need a striker even moreso. They should have already been in, they have been trying but clearly they haven't tried hard enough. This is where we're at.

In the meantime, it's probably gonna have to be Dele up top on Saturday.

If this is a long term injury, then the squad is currently relegation contenders. To rely on someone with such an obvious injury concern was never likely to work. As always we were badly prepared and took a silly gamble on not replacing Richarlison. All the eggs were in the DCL basket and its going to hurt us a lot. Its not his fault either - we owed it to him to bring him in some support.

1. You can't sell an injured player, he wouldn't pass a medical
2. We need more forwards not to sell our only one up to standard. If you fear relegation doing that's only going to hasten it.
