It’s not luck, more like awful planning! As soon as they knew Richarlison was off, a striker who could play alongside or instead of DCL should have been a priority!
After DCL’s problems last year another striker should have been identified and been bought in well before now - especially as we will now get rinsed on any fee!!!

Judge them at the end of the window, mate.

So as it turns out even the club don't actually know the extent of the injury or potential timeframe DCL could be facing on the sidelines at the moment.

Yet people's head are exploding on here believing random twitter sites.

When will people learn..... Never is my guess.

Everton manager Frank Lampard has confirmed striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss Saturday’s Premier League opener against Chelsea after sustaining a knee injury in training.

The England international is currently being assessed by the Club’s medical team and will continue treatment at Finch Farm.

Lampard said: “We are assessing Dom’s injury. No timeframe has been confirmed and we are pretty sure what level it is so we are hopeful it is not long-term.

“We’ll miss him for Chelsea. He was looking in great physical condition and was training really well. It was a freak injury in training, which does happen. It’s a shame but we have to find the solutions to keep ourselves strong without Dominic before he returns.”

Thing is though, Everton always downplay bad injuries - it is the club's MO. You can usually add games and games on top of any estimated times they give for bad injuries. So the reports of 3 months are likely to be right.

The only time it has gone the other way was Digne under Carlo.
