I have lost faith in him TBH. People will say he is rusty so we have to put up with him for another half dozen rusty games and hope he isn't injured during those rusty games. I admit today was a tough come back game but he has to get up to speed not in the 1st Team but the U21's
He needs to be sidelined by incoming players, because despite that boost today we'll go down with him, Maupay and Simms.

Surprised your saying you can't be arsed with him anymore @Ballswhiteboots when your a Carlisle Utd fan first and foremost. Seems an odd 2nd post to make that fella.
Sorry Mac, it’s probably too early in my posting days to be so negative. But having supported us at home and abroad since the 70’s, I get a bit nostalgic of our proper strikers - Royle, Latchford, Sharp, Gray, Ferguson, Rooney etc. who all scored plenty and most importantly we’re available when required.

….we won’t go down with him, but we will go down without him unless we have effective alternative.

Surely we can’t rely on him to stay fit but if he does it will be a major boost for Lampard. We need the security of another striker besides Simms.

Calvert-Lewin and Simms will play no major part in our fight for safety. One is done for and the other has never been good enough.

We need two attackers in here to get us through the second half of the season.

Today was morale boosting, but we are well short of having the personnel to get safe.

koff and support a sky6superbreakaway club then.
Sorry can’t decipher your code but followed a lower League team all my life, my local team did get to the first division once in the 70’s! Relegated that season but beat the Division One winners that year actually did the double over a team we both support.

Nice to see Dominic Calvert-Lewin getting through seventy minutes today. The was a point when he appeared to be rubbing the side of his thigh, so just hope he's fit and injury-free for Brighton.

Not sure games against City are representative, but makes such a difference when he plays.

He's the focal point for the team, gets us playing higher up the pitch, has an amazing leap and wins headers and flick ons for players around him.

Wrap him in cotton wool and keep him fit, we'll be up the table in no time
