I think they are utter garbage, but I still support them when we play games.

We have had many Everton players I cant stand or dont rate, not once have I ever booed an Everton player.
Well I'd say refusing to acknowledge a player isn't supporting them.

Again, for me it's not about rating them as players, weve had woeful players over the years but I'll happily say any player who doesn't put effort in during a game deserves all the stick he gets, regardless of how good or bad they are.

I'm not above questioning the effort of players at times but he got booed off because we were getting dry bummed at home, everyone was narky about it, and people have already decided that he doesn't want to be here/is faking injury/isn't masculine enough for their tastes (delete as applicable) so he was an easy target for abuse. I don't even say that as a particular defence of him, just pointing out that it wasn't some universal recognition of his lack of effort, just a good example of crowdthink when things are going badly.

And I agree, but I havent personally seen DCL not put the effort in, I dont think he had a good game v Brighton and I think I did say that at the time.

A gentle reminder tho.

Its not his fault we rely on him still.
Hes been injured for 2 and a half seasons and hes still "the best Striker" we have, thats not his fault, its NOT his fault hes constantly injured and its not his fault the utter clowns running the show havent replaced him in 5 transfer windows.
And there in lies the problem! Just another example of the incompetence of the lunatics running this particular establishment!

Not a bad shout to be fair, the result and overall performance from everyone didn't help.

However, I will put my neck out on this game and say he did not ( not the only one ) put in a good shift, he looked disinterested all game for me. He wasn't the only one though and as you say he was the easy target because he went off, anyone else going off did and would have got the same treatment ( rightly so )

And he cost £1.5m.

It's not like we've signed Michael Owen on silly money and he's clearly pining for his first love / horses.

Edit: ohhhhhh now I know why the Jordies hated Owen so much. The horse thing. Wouldn't move near them so they could get a cheeky slap in. Probably.

Good news only starts when he is actually on the pitch, and playing well.

Fingers crossed that both things happen asap.

He better be physically and mentally strong enough to play though when he does. There will be a lot of hopes pinned on him performing/scoring the goals to get us out of this mess.

Certainly would have left this thread on about page 60 if they had got a striker in

Close to being on the bench for Forest according to the bobble, so providing he stays out of trouble there's a good chance he'll be featuring against Brentford
Looking forward to seeing some of this face on Saturday then

TBH, Id rather he was out of the picture all together. He wont play again for 5/6 games after any appearance he may put in on Saturday.

He's a distraction we cant afford. I'd sooner we just got on with telling Gray he starts every game in a false 9 and everyone understands where they are around that.

We cant be having this circus every 5 or 6 games or so. It'll sink us.
