Some people just aren't meant to be professional sports people, they can just be brittle or have a weak immune system or not mentally prepared. they can also be unlucky like Dominic but it's a fact of life that not everybody makes it. Give him the second half this weekend then start him against Utd and his and our season is up and running. Until the wheels come off again.
 


Another divisive player who is either integral or needs jibbing. Not that he hasn't always been but he's got a lot of pressure on him, more than I'd be comfortable with! Poor lad can't even have a nice quiet week enjoying New York's glamour.

That's their job, as you said. Sometimes players will understandably tread water because 'making it' can also be just getting a contract at a big team. Say Niasse for instance or Ross Barkley. Even if they are not playing anywhere or not particularly good - they've earned enough to say that they have made a good career for them and their families.

Bit unfair to include Niasse, whatever his shortcomings as a player he always gave it a hundred percent.
