What use is he on the bench with this "good mentality" if he's not physically ready for the hardest league in the world? We don't win today with a cameo from him.

Plus he came back from injury to help in the relegation battle literally 12 months ago so why would he suddenly not want to help us?
Well if he's not ready to come on for 25 mins after training regularly for the best part of 5/6 weeks then when is he ever? He's a big fart who doesn't want any part of a dog fight.

Based on him not wanting part of the dog fight last season too right? :)
Missed half the games at the end of last season too, with each injury he gets he becomes more of a [Poor language removed]. No doubt he'll pick up another "knock" before the next game as well.

But you think he's rubbish anyway so truly why are you bothered if he's available or not.
He is, problem for us is maupay and Simms are on a whole new level of rubbish, so unfortunately DCL is our best hope of scoring goals.

Not his fault the club rely on him so much, but that's where we are.

Probably best just keeping him off the pitch this season. Clearly something majorly wrong. Just bored now of the constant “ooh he’s back on the grass” stuff from the club now. As we hurtle towards the Championship, we will need sellable assets. Can’t risk him playing and tweaking his mystery injury yet again and us being lumbered with him for another year.

I think the PR side of Everton have got it wrong (surprise surprise) plastering him all over social media that he was training this week, should just keep it quiet and let him go about being ready when he is, the vitrol from fans when he doesn't play isn't worth the angst.

But then they’d have to not release any pics or the weekly vid and people would be confused.

I dunno, I think I'd rather the shouts of "where is he" than "why is he such a weak lad he's got no heart if he's fit to train he's fit to play etc etc". Just gives false hope to idiots, and idiots seem to shout loudest unfortunately.

Equally as bad/annoying in all honesty cuz all the da's don't have the patience to watch a 10 min presser and just go off 1 pic of him not looking devastatingly sad in training to deduce he's okay and should be starting.

There's no right answer unfortunately, the internet brings out the worst in people. It wasn't 1 pic though, it was a specific post about DCL with multiple pics, like an announcement that's he back, that's how a lot of people would have read it.
