I now understand the view that the issue isn't just physical.

Full training and not on the bench for Fulham is bewildering.

A puzzler isnt it?

Either the club overstated his availability, or he had a late knock after the tweet, or there is my theory. And anyone who has any interaction with minor mental health issues, either their own or someone close to them, will have an accurate stab at what it could be. Shame if I am even close to being correct. But, it is fixable. Perhaps Dom thought it was.

To be fair I said ages ago that it wouldn't surprise me if he was just being wrapped in cotton wool for the last 5 games. At one point I assumed that he'd be brought back into the fold following the Brentford game but when that didn't happen I resigned myself to the fact that he wouldn't be available until the run-in..

Maybe the manager wanted to see another week in training. Fine, take care of the player as best you can. Thats what we pay him for.

That’s not the same as saying he’s fully fit and available for selection though.

He’s back in training and can be considered aka assessed to see if he’s ready for the matchday squad.

It’s a subtle difference in language but still clear.

But yeh, anyway, my main point is people saw him training and thought he could play then got mad when he didn't but the club hadn't told us he could. Unsure where the expectation came from after 2 months out.

He’s gonna come on with 5 minutes to go at home the Bournemouth. When we are already down obviously. Little cameo then straight down the tunnel looking for his next club.
