Without question DCL is the best footballer in the current squad.

The way we as a fan base turn on our best footballers shocks me.

It’s the same as back when we all turned on our best footballer in Ross Barkley when Koeman showed him the door while destroying our club.

It’s clear and obvious DCL is the least of our concerns. Dyche ball is awful tactics, and picking Young and Keane guarantees a loss. No need to look any further.
 
He is and I have no idea who people expect to replace him with from our threadbare squad. The problem today was with the embarrassing defending. Sat with my best mate who is a Villa fan watching the game. Both of us cannot get over how [Poor language removed] both teams are at defending. All goals for both teams were very much avoidable. Even the last goal doesn’t happen if you can be assed to close him down. Keane should never be in the starting line-up. How was he beaten to the header by Watkins?!? Calvert Lewin is not the weak link in our team. He’s not a Premier League top 6 player either. But then we’re not even a top half team. Dyche for me has to go as he’s another who cannot accept when he has made poor choices in his team selection. Constantly playing players who are clearly not capable and not giving others the chance to step up. I do think we have a rather sad mid-table team if managed properly and can only hope we get new owners, a new manager and intervention from on high to see us embrace our new stadium with a team that befits it. I’m currently pissed sat in a train station waiting room so apologies for such a load of waffle.
 
He is paid first and foremost to be clinical in front of goal, not to run into channels and give the ball away 50% of the time. Today was typical dom, scores an unmissable header, misses two glaring one on ones.

When he’s in the mood, he puts himself about a bit. That’s not enough for a premier league striker. He will never be the answer we are looking for up front.

But he is the best we have if you think beto could do a better job then we would have to differ

He's not to blame.

But when you're in the absolute mire and need some players to step up and be relied upon...you look at player who for all intents and purpose believe they're "better"
 
Not sure if anyone here is saying he’s good enough for what we expect.

But it’s quite clear he’s by far our best striker and actually competes and leads the line well when he’s on it (which he was today). He is not a clinical goalscorer, proper rabbit in the headlights stuff that first one on one.

Football isn’t that black and white; “didn’t score so he was terrible” - he was probably our best player by far. Just once again let himself down finishing twice, we wouldn’t have even been anywhere near a result with anyone else playing.

Bizarre this - he’s literally our only hope of staying up and people are getting on his back after he scored again. If he packs it in we are absolutely done, Beto is garbage and Broja is worse in front of goal than Dom.

It would have beenruled out 1/2 a yard offside - no good on one on one's I agree . material as VAR would have denied us that goal - the other one he hit the bar a one man forward in the 2nd half Dwight McNeil put on the wing ??.. Dyche has a lot to answer for full back injured - we had a good young right back on the bench h sends a Ruddy midfielder on ?
