In those 8 season s he has been good, he has been bad and he has been injured. People are so quick to dismiss DCL you say he hasnt exactly set the world alight i disagree, he has scored 16 goals in a season, hes been quoted as a 80m player at one point. And even in the case he departs we paid 1.5m for him. And you ask would a diff coach make him play better? See how he played under carlo.

His record over 8 years is abysmal for a so-called 'elite' player. He wouldn't have been given that length of tenure as the number one striker at any other club in a major league.

I agree about DCLs record. Not great or elite. I’d like to think he could hit 10 goals by the end of the season with a simple change of two up top and Dwight being healthy and feeding him crosses.

Ok. Sorry but I don’t agree and think his record and current attitude are both very questionable at best ..

No manager is gonna play two up top here though, it’s very rare and we haven’t got one decent forward never mind two.
A good manager could probably use McNeill and Ndiaye to create more chances but not until next season, two much damage and negativity done to our current players for a new manager to turn things around quickly.

That’s because Carlo said all you need DCL to do is stay in the box. We now have a manager that has him on the half way line defending.

Obvious he is on his way ..... Dychball & his injuries have caught up with him, he's 27 & demanding a massive pay rise .... even Newcastle could not afford those wages ....

one of the best managers in history says that but half they people think they know more. Seen a decline in DCLs striking? When did we last have a striking coach?
