2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It’s time to move on from Dom. We no longer play Dycheball with our defenders constantly hitting high balls over our midfielders for DCL to head on . We have talented, passing midfielders who can play a through ball on the ground for our striker to run on to, so for me it’s pointless even considering playing DCL again. Play Beto , Broja, Chermiti that allows us to perhaps determine who we can use next season.

I dont think we will see him again - his injuries are far to risky to resign him - any other club just paying his wages is a risk ....

….Newcastle linked again this morning, I suppose he’s a decent option for them as back-up to Isak and coming off the bench plenty. They’d get him ‘for free’, wages no problem.

Would have been handy if he'd have done it last year and we could have had Mintah.

I find it very hard to warm to him and really dont admire how hes leaving the club.

I'm the opposite here.

I think he is much more suited to a team playing "football" than one that just hoofs it up the pitch. Yeah he can hold up the ball and get his head on stuff but if there is nobody near him then its pointless.

His best football came under Ancelotti who realized that we need options in the opponents half rather than just one bloke.

He is finished now anyway though.

I think it's the right time for both parties, not bothered about the losing of a fee tbh, we bought him for what?,one million, good value really.
Don't begrudge him his move wherever he ends up, still a few years left for him, don't think he'll get to any great heights as injuries catch up with him .

Whatever happens with Dominic Calvert-Lewin club wise, etc., I wish him the best for the future.
I think he was hard done. He definitely needs a change of scenery like Iwobi. In a different timeline where we weren't an ish show, I think he is a much better player. I think his brain is cooked here which is why it is best for both parties to move on.

Can you imagine working somewhere that been run like Everton, and had to endure the utter shambles of the last 5-6 years, while also watch players who are not better then you come in on astronomical wages.

Don’t think there’s many wouldn’t jump at the chance to earn as much if not considerably more elsewhere.

The ‘customers’ even take exception to his clothes!

The fans turned on him when he really didn't deserve it. I can understand why some are irked with him now, but it all started with the way he was treated prior to this season. I think he finally had enough and checked out a bit mentally. I can't blame him at all. We were run horribly for so long and Dom was one of the casualties. It's why I am kind of glad we are almost rid of the old guard entirely. Everton and Dom need a reset.
