2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I am a great believer in that no one is all good or all bad, everyone has shades of grey in their personality. DCL was a good footballer but he needed the Big Dunc factor plus the manager to get the best out of him. Carlo went, Big Dunc went and DCL went back to being a journey man centre forward. Then he got injured, then Dyche took over with his anti football type of football and DCL suffered. Personally I think things have reached an irreversible point, he has to go, Everton need a better striker and DCL needs another challenge. Wish him well and welcome a new centre forward, preferably one who is not injured and who can play.

A lot of players short of pace have still been successful over the years.

DCL in moments has been one of them, trying to get in the right place for headers or shots in the 6 yard box - when fit.

The overall sentiment I feel when hearing DCL's name is disappointment. Season after season.

I think he's left most fans closest to disinterest more than anything, which is a colossal shame considering his potential.

Yes Dyche's tactics won't have helped any player flourish, though others like McNeil, Tarks and Garner were still able to show quality.

DCL for his part played more games under Dyche - something his career would have benefited from earlier.

Seems an ok lad, no hate. But we move on. For some reason I see him at Bournemouth tapping in 8-10 for a season or two by the seaside before retiring injured in the championship for someone.
