He's one of the worst one-on-one strikers in world football. I'm not even joking, he's got to be bottom 5% in terms of scoring one-on-ones. He completely relies on someone making it work for him. "we played the ball on the deck" means nothing when he's just one of the worst finishers in the last 3+ years.DCL hated dycheball.
Seems a lot of you forgot how good he was against spurs when we played the ball on the deck.
I’m happy if he stays but we need two more strikers. He can’t be relied upon but on his day, he can be unplayable. It’s just few and far between these days.
Resigning is a big risk.
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.If DCLs Everton career was a film, everyone would say it was good in parts but way too long. I wish him good luck either way.
For A Few Dollars More.......The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.
Someone was suggesting earlier re-signing him, with a view to getting him playing and scoring next season, before moving him on.
Just a thought.
I think it's the scoring part where the plan falls to pieces.
….and you can ‘only move a player on’ if the player agrees to move.
I actually think DCL at his best is a talented striker but I’ve advocated trying to sell since his problems with large thigh muscles started. They will impact his entire career, have no doubt about that.
He's a fantastic hold up player & great in the air Eggs, no doubt about it. Unfortunately he's not great at the one essential item you need from a striker.
More like, The Invisible Man, or The English PatientFor A Few Dollars More.......
I was thinking along the lines of.......MISERYMore like, The Invisible Man, or The English Patient
