...it was Klassen who looked like a decent finisher at the time.

Rooney as expected was excellent Gylfi was good but it was DCL who's finishing was poor and it sort of shocked me how poor he was. His all around play is good but finishing hasn't changed

He had plenty of time to sign a new contract but decided not to as he felt we were beneath him.
If they offer him a new one and he signs it is only because no one else would have him .
I would not give him a new contract under any circumstances.

If the contract offer is still on the table it should at least see a drastic reduction in what was originally offered

I'd imagine that the (understandable) reaction of him coming off versus Villa was the final nail for him.

He'll be remembered for the Palace winner alone, but I think it's best for both parties if he moved on. We can't rely on him and he doesn't want to play here anymore.

Take the new contract off the table, he ran down his old one on purpose, I don't think he's up to PL 110% fitness any more.
A slower league beckons.

He's celebrated in front of Everton fans since that game. I think some make more of that than is there. Maybe. I dunno.
He's never really been idolised by the Goodison terraces. Nothing bad. Just not idolised.
When you break it down he had a great few months under Carlo in empty stadiums.
Apart from the odd game out of that he's been ok ish. Nothing great mind.
Its time to go our seperate ways i think. Both sides need fresh start.
Not a chance in hell i'd be offering him a new contract.
