Doping in Premier League

Salah is world class, Macallister is a great player, there's plenty of RS players I can acknowledge have been great players, Gerrard, Alonso, Fowler, Macherano, Suarez as well. Gerrard and Alonso were 1000 times better, than any of their midfielders under Klopp. Mane was nowhere near as good, as Henry, Suarez or Ageuro. Of course the fact Barca rested all their players before 2nd leg at Anfield, and Liverpool didn't rest any, after playing Newcastle isn't suspicious at all.

What are you talking about now with regards to Barca?

All the clubs do this testing. The FA do it for the England team.

Why do people take PED's? The main reason is they want to train harder. When it comes to Football no drug is going to make you learn tactics or how to play as a team. Give you the ability to pick a pass or how to control the ball and stick it into the corner of the goal.

City and Liverpool have not won trophies because they are doping. They have won them because they are a decent team.

That's the reality of the situation.

Most PEDs are about recovery and allowing you to train harder for longer and at a higher intensity. If you train more, you get better. There is no doubt in my mind at all that players use PEDs, but I don't think its all club driven. I was talking to Baz Rathbone a few years back and I asked him what has changed over his time as a club physio/doctor snd he said that these days most top level players have their own team that do all that for them. Some don't see the club doctor at all beyond their medical. That becomes very difficult to police as a club, but you can, or choose not to make an environment that is accepting of it. I think that's whereby differences are. I also would not be surprised if players/agents choose clubs over that environment.

This is correct.

It amazes me that people think a club can control its players so that they all dope and get on board.

We have players from different cultures and religions and yet they think they would at a drop of a hat inject anything the club asks of them and follow orders.

I literally posted an article a few posts up where Gary Neville admits to doing just that.

Kim Collins was a pro sprinter into his 40's and is the only man in history thus far to run under 10 seconds in the 100m in a competitive race over 40 years old. There are unusual examples out there, I reckon avoiding injury and living ultra clean goes a long way to longevity. Foreman retired at 28 and had a decade of debauchery burning through money like a banshee only to come back at 38 and win it all again at 45. Was Jack Nicklaus playing and winning golf titles into his 70's?
I love the romance of a person that fits a calling perfectly, defies the odds and succeeds, but there's some clever people working in labs to make super humans even faster and stronger. Technological advancement and the sheer computing power of modern pharma means there's a world of wonder drugs in labs right now either being tested or drip fed through shadowy sports programs. Hate to get all mengele yet there'll be tests and trials done on children because of the developmental aspect of the growth phases to exploit for instance. The more you look, the more you find greed and the willingness to cheat.
I thought Big George hit his lowest ebb, found God and then made a comeback to fund some youth project he was running. He ended up being a preacher of some kind.
