Spurs are linked with more players than Citeh in the papers today like they're going to spend another £30million.
Citeh are going to be going through managers faster than a mexican prostitutes goes through knickers and are going to do nothing, I can sense it. Hughes, Jo, Robinho, Elano, Richards, Dunne, Hart, Benjani will all be gone next summer.
Robinho will well have a winge if they dont sign a big player. He'll be all "Who the [Poor language removed] is Wayne Bridge? Especially for £12million!" before wanting to move back to Spain.

I wish we'd had a pop at taking Downing before he'd signed that 5 year contract. A great player in my view and one that would fit in well to the Everton set-up under Moyes. Boro will not part with him for less than £12m so his options will be limited. Like Bruce mentioned, Tottenham seem the obvious choice assuming that moron Redknapp doesn't blow all his transfer kitty on bringing back Defoe to his new club (£16m now being quoted). Perhaps even City would have a need for him? At one time he was rumoured to be off to Liverpool, but they're even poorer than us at the moment.
Do you think Boro will let us have him on loan?? That Steve Gibson looks like hes in Kenwrights gang, maybe he could send Barrymore round and suggest a pool party.

In the event that Boro selfishly decline that kind offer Mik, you could always try offering Baines and £6m (spread over 15 years of course).

I thought my offer was a good 1, but i can see why they might not take it. I wouldnt want to lose anybody tho, but the sad fact is that if we want to buy anybody, we need to sell, but i would hate to see Baines go, i think the lad has got talent.
