My heart sank a little on hearing the draw. I am a total cynic regarding fair officiating prevailing in games where the big monied clubs are involved...especially Chelsea. We are playing against 14...the 11 on the pitch... and the three bent officials.

The doom and gloomers do my head in, negative right from the off.

Chelsea scrapped a draw last time we played them, we have nothing to fear at Home, nothing.
I'm kin chuffed, tbh. That could have been much much worse for us with United, Arsenal, West Ham, Palace in there (an away game to any of them and I'd have been gutted, tbh).

Were at least even money for this match. At least.

Only one I feared badly was Arsenal away. I'd have thought 'no chance'. United away too, because the local rivalry thing would be intense no matter how relatively poor they've been this season.

Home cup QF tie against a Chelsea team we've mastered all season. I'll take that in a heartbeat.

....thinking back to 1968, ahead of the final Brian Labone said you rarely beat a team 3 times in a season. We had stuffed the baggies twice and came unstuck in the big one. Perhaps Labby was smiling when Terry scored that last minute equaliser.

....has to be a big bonus that Chelsea play the 2nd leg of their Champions League clash with PSG just a few days before turning out against us.
would have been better if they were away that leg, hopefully its the sat game so they have a day less, not that it will make difference with us probably

West Ham, Reading or Utd and I would have been happy

Wanted to avoid Chelsea and Arsenal at all costs
we've beaten and draw chelsea so far this season, even that jarg officiating last game at the bridge( for which hiddink was in charge). only team I wanted to avoid was Arsenal and we got a home game. was it a perfect draw? no, but we couldve easily been away to chelsea or arsenal.

Happy with that. We'd balls it up against a team like Palace or West Ham.

All joking aside about the home support, it was crucial we got a game at Goodison at the QF stage. We'd have given them a game away, but I always think that between two closely matched teams in the cup quarters home advantage is the clincher.

We've been better than them in the two games this season and I reckon this will be our gateway to Wembley.

If something this will fire our squad up and Goodison too. Great game coming up. If we are worthy of a trophy we go through.

Although our home form hasnt been good we've got to make a home draw in the 6th round count! Lets hope we're not chosen for any early kick off. Much rather play at tea time Saturday or 4pm Sunday for this one. Hostile as possible please.
