Dreams

I once dreamt I was married to Kirsten dunst. Wasn't even a sexy dream. Just mundane day to day stuff. I woke up proper exhausted. She's a dull woman to be married to.
I once dreamt I was married to Gwyneth Paltrow. All she did was nag me and boss me around. That dream felt like it went on for hours.

Even though I hate Coldplay, I woke the next morning feeling like I understood Chris Martin and I actually felt bad for the lad!

I always sleep on my side facing out of the bed to the door but my sleep paralysis is of my back to the door and someone stood there I can't roll over to look at.

So generally try avoid sleeping facing inwards but I must roll.
There's definitely something triggering it... Maybe you're lucky and it'll stop like mine did.

Do you fall asleep for a short bit and then sudden wake up paralyzed or does it happen just as you're about to fall asleep?

When I was about 10 or 11 I had a recurring dream, that advanced bit by bit each night. I don't normally remember my dreams, but I still remember aspects of these 30 odd years later.

Basically, I was younger by a couple of years, walking through a stone courtyard. I was aware of the sun on my arms, and more details became apparent, like a border collie sleeping head on paws in the shade. I could hear bees buzzing in a bush and I as I made my way to a workshop I could hear a saw working. The workshop had dust in the sunlight and there was a smell of freshly cut wood - I don't think I've ever smelt anything in a dream since - there was a young man, in his twenties standing over a workbench with a saw blade fixed to it.

I didn't feel any fear, I was totally relaxed about this instalment dream until the time the guy turned and was holding his hand, blood was coming through his fingers.

The next morning I told my mum, I got no further than "I keep having the same dream, I am walking through a yard..." and she told me "Oh, you're dreaming about your great grandfather cutting off the tips of his fingers, I used to have the same dream when I was your age."

I never met the man, my grandfather (I assume the dream was from his perspective) never spoke about it, but my mum and I both had the same repetitive dream. I don't remember ever having it again after speaking about it.

Also, I would marry Kirsten Dunst 100 times before looking at Paltrow.

I use to have that. It's the worse! Complete and utter dread until you can move again. Thank god they subsided and I don't have them any more.

Same, just a feeling of complete and utter dread would wave over me as well.

I only ever once experienced hallucinations with it and yep, didn't enjoy that.
Lying on my side looking into the mirror and I could see my own face pop up from behind me looking at me in the mirror.
Stopped as soon as they started when I left my folks home in my late teens.

And you thought you were here today as part of the GOT audience.. but Bohemian toffee we have a surprise for you.. a man you’ve never met before and never thought you would … your grandfather .. Mr @tommye

*crowd claps, cheers and whistles

Had a recurring nightmare as a child of two blanket corners meeting and the closer they got the more magnified it all became until I could just see microfibers merging, numbers would just pop up randomly and I'd wake up terrified. 😱
(Maybe it was a portent of our points deduction🤔)
Later as a mid teen I dreamt I'd married Victoria Principal and at the point of conducting the nocturnal consumation my old girl shouted and woke me up for school.** Never forgave her for that.

** no emissions took place. ;)

I've been trying to work out what triggers mine like sleeping positions, what I watch before bed etc. They're always identical though.
Have you kept a food diary? Certain foodscan trigger stuff or highlight an underlying illness, sugar highs and lows can do this.

You're lucky mate. All I could move were my eyes and I would see shadows moving around the room.

Then it's over in 30 - 60 seconds. And the funny part is, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop the overwhelming feeling of dread.

@Nymzee It's the same here, they just stopped for no apparent reason. Weird.

Had some crazy dreams over the years, dont recall most of them, apart from the dream I had about the world ending in a massive fireball, cant seem to shake that 1, I wonder why..........

My Wife must have some crazy dreams, the noises she makes in her sleep are insane and no, you filthy creatures, not sexual noises.
